This is the finished project! I really like it :) I was really pleased when I measure it after and it was centered because i forgot to do that before I started drawing.
I will describe my process below.
I will describe my process below.
This project had a little bit more freedom then our other projects so far. The only requirement was that there were 2 hands in the finished product. I wanted to experiment a little more with watercolors so I did. One of my class mates mentioned that the top of it looks like a heart as well. I put tape on the edges to give it a border which is still on in this picture. It ended up ripping a little bit of the paint off which I had to fix. I spent 2 days working on this and I think I should have just left it the way it was at the end of the first day. I don't like how some places are splotchy and have hard lines, at the end of the first day it was more of a blended color.
This is the picture I took of my hand in the shape of the heart that I was going to draw. At first I was going to shade the hand but when I started to the graphite made the watercolor look green so I erase it and just left the outlines as they were. I did a little shading on the nails and the fingers in the back. but not as much as I first thought I would. | I'm right handed so when I traced my hand with the viewfinder I traced my left. I knew that trying to trace my right hand was not going to work well. To get the "right" hand I traced the left one on another transparency and flipped it over to get the mirror image. |
