I am most definitely guilty of all 10 of the Top 10 Mistakes Made by Art Students except the firs one. I take art because I truly want to make Art and get better at making art. I think a lot of the time I get frustrated with myself because I am such a perfectionist. The last drawing I did, the ballet shoes, I really like. But Mrs. Haggerty is right that I work too slow. Im scared of making a mistake that I can't fix, when I should be making those mistakes so I can learn from them. This I would put into the "Taking to Long to Start" section of this post. I always want everything to look exactly like it looks in real life.
Recently I have thought about making my concentration centered around dance. I came up with a list of a bunch of things that I think would be cool to draw but I have no clue where to start. Heres the list
I'm worried that I won't be happy with the way my portfolio is going to turn out. I was really proud of it last year.
As much as I want to do well with my portfolio I think that's part of the reason my art is suffering. The worst that can happen is that I get a 1.
I hope that the rest of this year goes better than the beginning of the year.

- Leg from my pov
- feet in shoes
- feet out of shoes
- bobby pins -- bun/har/hairpiece
- bruises (feet, knees, legs)
- the bottom of my tap shoe
- the dance floor (it has a really cool marble looking pattern
- feet/ankles with imprint of the ribbons from pointe shoes
- drawing of a costume with a piece of the costume on it
- stage make up
- view from the stage (lights?)
